Everybody knows that Maryland produces excellent quality crabs, crab meat, rockfish (striped bass), and oysters. Did you realize there are over 50 species of seafood harvested in our waters?! The watermen that work the waters of our Atlantic coastline harvest everything from spiny dogfish to tuna to channeled whelk. Watermen in the Chesapeake Bay not only catch the ‘typical’ species but also get often overlooked delicacies such as yellow perch, white perch, eel, catfish, and croaker.
